We were delighted at the Vicarage to go and present gardening badges to our local scout troop which they earned while helping us to plant summer bulbs, way back in the spring.
On Thursday Daniel Kawczynski, our local MP visited the Vicarage to open our new Dementia Friendly Garden called ‘The Orchard’.
Our hallways are really becoming places of interest and curiosity for our residents.
Our Activities Co ordinator, Ann Worrall went on a ‘Dementia Friends Champion’ training course in Telford.
Dobbies Garden Centre at Bayston Hill has kindly supported the Vicarage under their “Here we grow scheme” by supplying the Home with a selection of plants and garden furniture in order to create a dementia friendly sensory garden.
We have caught a glimpse of some lovely summer sunshine and now our thoughts turn to long lazy days and warm fragrant evenings when we can sit out and relax.
