Harvest Thanksgiving

Harvest Thanksgiving

This week we celebrated Harvest thanksgiving at the Vicarage. Vegetables, fruits, tins of produce, bread and corn adorned our table as we gave thanks for the bountiful harvest and the growers who produce this wonderful food for our tables. We sang the old Harvest hymn ‘we plough the fields and scatter’ as  well as ‘all things bright and beautiful’ before our minister gave a short address.

We prayed for our farmers, food manufacturers, and the weather we have had to produce a good Harvest again. The conservatory was full to celebrate this special event. After, we sold our Harvest goods with the money going towards our resident’s fund. We would like to say a big thank you, to everyone who attended and bought from our Harvest table.
