Rupert the Horse
On Thursday, Rupert the Horse came to visit the Vicarage Nursing Home. After a gentle stroll on the Common (and having his feet washed) he was ready to meet and greet our residents. Faces turned in disbelief as staff, visitors and residents saw Rupert walk through our hallways into the conservatory. He showed us his skills playing football, using a step and giving gentle kisses to those who wanted. He greeted every resident and guest, bowing his head so those in chairs could stroke him. This gentle horse was all too happy to be stroked, patted, groomed and kissed.. Thank you Rupert for a lovely afternoon. See you again soon.
