We are happy to provide short term respite care (subject to vacancies) and carry out a pre-admission assessment to determine the potential resident's needs. Charges are calculated on a daily basis once the level of care has been determined.

In emergency situations (subject to availability) we will admit people without our full pre-admission assessment. The Nurse in charge, having discussed the precise level of care required with the individual's referring agent, will decide if The Vicarage can meet their care requirements for an initial period of up to 60 hours, thereafter, their referring agent will be responsible for their reassessment. Once admitted, should we discover that we are unable to meet their specific needs, we retain the right to discharge at any point during this period, having made contact with the individual's referring agent advising of our intention to do so.
